Just build. The Hiyve SDK: agentic video for your product.

The Hiyve SDK is the stack behind Hiyve, packaged for your product. WebRTC video, recording, transcription, and AI, as drop-in React components or a framework-agnostic core.

01Get started

From npm install to a working video room in about five minutes. One CLI login, a few packages, and a token server you mount in one line.

1

Authenticate

Grab an API key (pk_*) from the Developer Console, plus a client secret (sk_*) if you need video. Log the CLI in once and npm is ready for @hiyve packages.

Terminal
$ npx @hiyve/cli login
? Enter your Hiyve API key (pk_*): pk_live_••••••••••••
✓ API key verified
✓ npm configured for @hiyve packages
✓ Ready to install packages
2

Install

React components are the fastest way in. Add collaboration, capture, and intelligence packages when you need them, or skip React entirely with the framework-agnostic core.

Terminal
# React: zero-config video conferencing
npm install @hiyve/rtc-client @hiyve/core @hiyve/cloud \
  @hiyve/react @hiyve/react-ui

# Add features as you need them
npm install @hiyve/react-collaboration @hiyve/react-capture

# Server: token generation
npm install @hiyve/admin
3

Build

Wrap your app in HiyveProvider, then render a join form, a video grid, and a control bar. The provider fetches room tokens from your server on its own.

App.tsx
import { useRoomFlow } from '@hiyve/react'
import { JoinForm, ConnectingScreen } from '@hiyve/react-ui'

function App() {
  const { screen } = useRoomFlow()
  if (screen === 'connecting') return <ConnectingScreen />
  if (screen === 'in-room') return <VideoRoom />
  return <JoinForm autoConnect />
}
@hiyve/react-room

A complete room in five lines

Drop in HiyveRoom and PrebuiltRoom and you have a full call experience. Every optional package you install adds its own sidebar tab: chat and polls, whiteboard, notes, capture, and more.

@hiyve/cli
# scaffold a working app
npx @hiyve/cli init my-app --template full

# who am I logged in as?
npx @hiyve/cli whoami

# packages and versions your key can install
npx @hiyve/cli list

# non-interactive, for CI
npx @hiyve/cli login --key $HIYVE_KEY

Scaffold with the CLI @hiyve/cli

init scaffolds a project from a basic or full template. login, whoami, and list cover the rest, and --key makes it CI-friendly.

Test keys and live keys Developer Console

Your console issues a test pair alongside the live pair. Use test keys while you build to keep development traffic separate, then switch to live keys to deploy.

server.ts
import express from 'express'
import { mountHiyveRoutes, loadHiyveConfig } from '@hiyve/admin'

const app = express()
const api = express.Router()
mountHiyveRoutes(api, loadHiyveConfig())
app.use('/api', api)
app.listen(3001)

A token server in one line @hiyve/admin

Express middleware mounts the room, cloud, and join token routes your client needs, on Express 4 or 5. Your client secret never touches the browser.

02Compose your own

Use the prebuilt room as it is, or take it apart. Forty-two React hooks and a full kit of components let you build exactly the call your product needs.

Architecture

One stack, layered so you can stop at any level

Stay in React components, drop to hooks, use the framework-agnostic HiyveStore, or go all the way down to the WebRTC client. Each layer is built on the one beneath it.

03Intelligence built in

Summaries, an in-call assistant, alerts, and sentiment come as components. It's the same intelligence behind Hiyve's co-pilot, ready to drop into your rooms.

@hiyve/react-intelligence

AI in one provider and one component

Wrap your room in CloudProvider and render IntelligenceHub. With transcription running you get live help during the call, then summaries, search, and scorecards after it.

Audio that respects the music

Choose how the microphone opens. Voice keeps the browser's speech processing, music turns off noise suppression and goes stereo, and instrument leaves the signal untouched. Notation, performance, and theory packages add sheet music playback, graded practice takes, and drills.
